Thirding the can opener vote--we have a similar one somewhere that was my grandmother's. Requires a little more elbow grease than the turn kind.

Can opener and bottle opener as well.
Can opener, my in-laws have one and my father in law is swift with it - its impressive to see how easily he can open a can with it.
